Steve Hili takes your privacy seriously and processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the Data Protection Act, Chapter 586 of the Laws of Malta, and other applicable data protection laws.

2. Personal Data We Collect

When you subscribe to the mailing list, we collect the following information:

Name, surname and email address.

We may also receive technical information linked to your subscription, such as the date and time of sign-up, confirmation status, unsubscribe status, and similar mailing-list records.

We process your personal data to:

• subscribe you to Steve Hili’s mailing list;

•  send a confirmation email where double opt-in is used;

We send newsletter and marketing communications on the basis of your consent.

We maintain records of consent, or keep suppression records after you unsubscribe, we do so on the basis of our legitimate interest in verifying subscriptions, maintaining compliance records, and ensuring that we do not contact people who have opted out. You may withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us.

5. Data Sharing and International Transfers

We use Mailchimp as our service provider to manage email subscriptions. Your data will be transferred outside the EU and protected through Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. 6. Wix

The website is hosted on Wix. Wix may process technical information related to your visit to the website, such as server logs and similar technical data, in its role as a website service provider. This notice deals specifically with the newsletter subscription form.

7. Retention

Your personal data is retained for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we will retain limited information (such as your email address) to ensure that we respect your opt-out request and do not contact you again. If you request deletion, your personal data will be erased, except where retention is required for legal or compliance purposes.If your subscription is not confirmed, your details will be deleted as soon as it is clear that confirmation has not occurred, and in any case within 60 days.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and, where applicable, data portability. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. These rights are set out under Chapter 3 of the GDPR.
